Fouad Achemchem has accomplished his master thesis in Biotechnology in $2000$, then a PhD degree in $2006$. Former scientific manager of a biomedical laboratory in Tangier, he became in Nov.- 2007 Assistant Professor at the Superior School of Technology in Agadir- Ibn Zohr University. 6 years later he obtained his professorial thesis (Accreditation to direct research - HDR). He has supervised $>20$ postgrad students; has published $>17$ peer-reviewed articles; has presented at $>42$ national and international conferences. Dr. Achemchem has developed novel technologies of biopreservation of Moroccan traditional dairy products using lactic acid bacteria and bacteriocins. Since 2012, he started new reserch studies on microbial modelling in foods.
