Guiomar Denisse Posada Izquierdo is agricultural engineer, graduated from the Central University of Venezuela in $2006$. She obtained a master’s degree in Agri-food from the University of Cordoba in $2007$. Her academic training was reinforced by obtaining a FPI pre-doctoral fellowship, awarded by the Spanish Ministry of Education and Science in $2009$. During her PhD she perfomed research stays in national and international research centres (CEBAS-CSIC in Spain and University of Ghent in Belgium). She has participated in different Research Projects for the vegetable sector. In addition, she has collaborated in other research projects with companies in the meat and vegetable sector. She has experience in the field of predictive microbiology, sensory analysis and foodborne pathogens. She has participated and attended several national and international conferences on food safety. She is also author of a number of scientific publications in high impact journals.
