Mamouni Rachid is a Professor in Faculty of Science, University Ibn Zohr, he has accomplished his master thesis in Analytic chemistry in 1999, then a PhD degree in Heterocyclic chemistry in February 2004. Postdoc in the synthesis of molecule with therapeutic interest, in Faculty of Pharmacy, Valence, Spain in 2004. He has supervised more than 10 postgrad students, has published more than 50 peer-reviewd article, has presented more than 100 national and international conferences and has 4 patents in the field of organic catalysis and membranes. with a new biosupport based on animal bone, with which he could have a scientific distinction in 2012 from tetrahedron letter (Elsevier : Top-10 most cited articles" as published in Tetrahedron Letters (2011-2012)An efficient and reusable heterogeneous catalyst Animal Bone Meal for facile synthesis of benzimidazoles, benzoxazoles, and benzothiazoles. Tetrahedron Letters, 2011, 52, 3492–3495). His research interests are in the development of new bio-supports of animal and plant origin, Heterocyclic Synthesis, Catalysis and development of new processes for developing regional products.
