Sara Coelho Fernandes graduated in Zootechnical Engineering from the School of Agriculture of the Polytechnic Institute of Bragança, Portugal (2017). She is currently pursuing Masters studies in Food Quality and Safety at the same institution. Since 2018, she has been a young researcher within the “Food Safety and Quality Analytics” research group at Mountain Research Centre (CIMO), having first worked in the SUSAN European project EcoLamb, and currently working in the European PRIMA project ArtiSaneFood. She is responsible for the daily organisation of the Laboratory of Bacteriology, and has experience in performing analyses for the determination of hygiene indicators and pathogens, as well as challenge studies and PCR analysis.
