Gisela Dos Santos Rodrigues graduated in Zootechnical Engineering from the School of Agriculture of the Polytechnic Institute of Bragança, Portugal, in 2018. She is currently completing her Master’s degree in Animal Science Technologies, with an investigation that aimed to evaluate the intrinsic properties of the carcass and meat of two Portuguese lamb breeds, and the evolution of their quality traits during maturation. Since 2018, she has been a young researcher within the Food Safety and Quality Analytics research group at Mountain Research Centre (CIMO), and is currently working in the European PRIMA project ArtiSaneFood where she is responsible performing several microbiological analyses on food products as well as challenge studies. In addition, she has experience in sheep health management, and monitoring the development of lambs for laboratory purposes. She has participated in some congresses and also in Portuguese Animal Science days, with oral and poster presentations.
