Gabriella Centorotola, an Italian national, she graduated in Food Science and Technology at the University of Teramo in 2010. Since 2014, she has been working at the Istituto Zooprofilattico Sperimentale dell’Abruzzo e del Molise “G. Caporale” (IZSAM), in Teramo, as Collaborator in projects and research programs in food microbiology and molecular biology areas. She is currently involved as Researcher in IZSAM Food Hygiene Unit activities, in particular food and environmental samples analysis for the microbial detections and enumerations, according to ISO methods, and the performing of microbial challenge tests. Since 2017, she is also involved in the Italian National Reference Laboratory for Listeria monocytogenes activities, related to Listeria monocytogenes strains collection, selection and molecular characterization through the serogroup determination by multiplex PCR, pulsed field electrophoresis (PFGE) and whole genome sequencing (WGS). She is also involved in data analysis, inter-laboratory proficiency test and national and international training activities, as speaker. She is author of publications in national and international peer-reviewed scientific journals.
