Elena Carrasco Jiménez (F) obtained her PhD in the University of Cordoba in 2007. She has been a researcher at the Food Science and Technology Department (University of Córdoba) since 2002. Her expertise in food microbiology and quantitative microbiological risk assessment has brought her the opportunity to participate in national and international projects, to teach at the University of Córdoba and to establish collaboration agreements with different food companies and institutions. Her short although fruitful research career is widely demonstrated by her numerous research articles in the field of food microbiology and food safety and quality of ready-to-eat foods.
