1. How would you describe your work in connection with typography and multimedia?
I am interested in the study of type and typography as visual punctuation and in finding new connections between type, language and culture using emerging technologies such as OpenType.
2. In dynTypo I'm collecting examples of artists, studios/projects where dynamic typography is used in cooperation with design and multimedia arts. Examples: John Maeda, Peter Cho, Andreas Müller, Yugo Nakamura, Jason Lewis, Letterror, etc. Is anyone else dealing with these issues that are important/influential for you? If so, why do you think they are important for your work?
hmmm.... in terms of font design, I think House Industries has done some amazing things with OpenType, finding ways of programming "intelligence" into fonts. other projects/ people...need to think about this and i'm sure i'll come up with some others.
3. Did you study dynamic typography at school?
My website is essentially the outcome of my master's thesis, but it was all very self-directed...
4. How do you see yourself as a designer or a multimedia artist?

5. Can you identify some restrictions/limitations in the software you are using? If so, please specify?
OpenType does not work in Web applications (yet) so I teamed up with Flash programmers in order to be able to mimic the effects on my website.
6. How do you see the use of self-made programs for dynamic typography? And what do you think of using it for both 'personal research' and commissioned projects?
what do you mean by "self-made programs"?
7. How do you think dynamic typography can improve our daily basis life? In other words, what do you think about the usage of dynamic typography?
I suppose it depends how we define "dynamic typography". From the perspective of type design, embuing intelligence/ dynamic behavior into fonts has many implications. But I\'m not sure how I feel about considering the impact of any specific "art" medium on daily life. Language is not static, so exploring dynamic typography allows us to understand its unstable and evolving nature.
8. How do you see the future of dynamic typography evolution?
I suppose it will be affected by the available technology.
